Hi! Seeing the sign-up for Alex’s Prayer Train fill up within hours has been incredible. Over 120 people agreed and committed to pray for Alex in 30-minute shifts for the duration of this round of chemo.
Alex got a fresh haircut from Joe (his BIL) this week, and looks great today!
This afternoon, Alex’s pastors came with their family and had a sweet time singing over Alex and worshiping with him.
Praises:
Alex is about a day and a half into his treatment. It started rough, feeling sick and having lots of nausea, but as the night progressed and throughout the day today, he has had minimal nausea!
He asked his mom to make mashed potatoes and chicken soup, and Alex ate a few bites without pain and was asking for more! That is the first real food he could tolerate in 12 days! Thank you, Lord!
Immediate prayer requests:
- Supernatural healing
- Continued strength for Alex’s treatments
- Decreased pain and nausea
- For Alex to be able to resume eating and not rely on IV nutrition
- Chemo this round is would be easier on his body, and numbers continue to decrease
- For Alex to be able to go home this week
- That Alex can get into MD Anderson as soon as they are released
- Alex’s albumin levels would increase (Currently, they are not high enough to get an appointment at MD Anderson)
- For Alissa and the kids to have supernatural strength, peace, and comfort
- For family and friends as they look to support them
Also, here is an update on T-shirt orders: they should be shipped out by the end of next week. I know we are all anxious to get ours and start wearing them to support Alex. Thank you to everyone who ordered them.
If anyone didn’t get a chance to order, you can still get one here: https://www.bonfire.com/alex-clark-fundraiser-shirts/
Eating mashed potatoes and chicken soup made by your mom is the best news, Alex!! Such a simple thing to bring such joy!
It was my family’s honor to go before the throne of God, as one, on Christmas Day for Alex, the whole family and the medical staff. We follow the updates and continue daily prayers. Asking for chicken soup and mashed potatoes is amazing! Thank you God for the work you are doing!
You look good Alex. A haircut and clen up always helps one to feel better. So glad you are tolerating a nit of food. I’m praying for continued improvement and gain of weight and strength. I love you! Aunt Paula
I am still a bit technology challenged and couldn’t figure out where to sign up to pray but i have just prayed whenever I have time as I believe in all answered prayers. Both Rod and I have been on borrowed time for some time now. We believe the answered prayers are why!
