Chemo Treatment Finished

by | Dec 13, 2024 | 2 comments

Hey guys, wanted to give a quick update.

The chemo has been tough on Alex’s body. He is experiencing nausea and extreme fatigue. One of the chemo drugs takes 48 to be administered entirely, and he finished that tonight around 4 PM. We pray that the intense symptoms will subside in the next day or two.

Alex is still enduring a good amount of pain. Doctors drained two more liters of fluid from his abdomen this afternoon, and we’re hoping that will help decrease some of his pain.

His doctors are expecting him to stay in the hospital through the weekend as they continue to try and get his pain managed, decrease the nausea, and improve his strength.

—– Praises —–

  • Alex’s siblings, Chris and Angie, arrived safely to Tyler.
  • First chemo treatment is done.
  • Alex will start getting some liquid nutrients tonight.

—– Prayer Requests —-

  • Supernatural Healing.
  • Decreased pain and nausea.
  • Alex to get hydrated (he is very dehydrated right now, which we are told worsens chemo side effects).
  • Pray for peace, provision, and comfort to Alex, Alissa, and the kids.
  • Sleep for both Alex and Alissa.

Thank you for your continued prayers.

Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken.

Psalm 62:5-6

“Forsake me not, O Jehovah: O my God, be not far from me. Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.”

Keep your eyes up my friend as your body is forced prostrate and as David says, no soundness in his flesh.
