So many of you have shed tears of sadness this week with us but today we have tears of joy!
Alissa’s update this morning:
“Friends, for the first time in over a week I finally have wonderful news!!! Alex has woken up with NO pain. He says he has felt a tangible shift in the night. He feels alert and awake. Feels healing/healthy itching in his body, has an appetite and has energy!
To give you a realistic picture of what this week has been like…I have been watching the man I love dying in front of my eyes. He’s been in excruciating pain, hardly able to open his eyes or get up—even sit up, hardly able to speak, unable to eat anything for over 5 days. When I would encourage him to get up and go for a walk, he moved like a 90 year old man. He has lost even more weight being in here and has been a shadow of himself.
The only part of him that I have recognized this week is his humor—even when he can hardly speak. The nurses brought him his IV nutrition last night and he asked, “what flavor do we have tonight?” He’s constantly making the nurses laugh even when he feels miserable.
Thank you Jesus! He gets all the glory. We’ve been so thankful for the wonderful nurses who have cared for us and the doctors who have been striving to help.
It’s still going to be a long road ahead of us, but now our journey really begins. We will head to MD Anderson for a second opinion and look for alternative treatments that bring more hope.
His mercies are new each morning.
You have no idea how happy I am to sleep in my own bed with the sound of our children running around—the sound of LIFE. Thank you Jehovah!
Thank you so much for all your prayers, gifts, comments, messages, and meals. We have felt your arms wrapped around us as we have gone through the worst week of our lives. Please keep praying because this is only the beginning of a very long road. Join me in praising our Heavenly Father for this gift!
We love you allllll!!

My wife, Carol, are fervently praying for everyone. We know from personal experience that MD Anderson can bring new hope and encouragement and we hope you get your consultation in soon.
Praying God’s mercy and healing.
Thank you so much!
Alex Clark! Lara (Gnage) told me yesterday what was going on in your world. I will continue to pray for your full restoration to health and wholeness. May God your Healer, your Righteousness and Peace, the Almighty Lord of Hosts, anchor you in hope and hold you and family together through this season. Grace and peace.
Thank you!
